Harebell is a small, slender herb that grows in a variety of situations where the soil is too thin, poor, or unstable for other plants---rocky cliffs and remote ledges, crests of bluffs, sandy or gravelly slopes, sand dunes, lakeshores, and streambanks---as well as dry prairies and woodlands. Pretty flower for such a little plant.
